autumn family photos with Allison Liffman Photography
As your kids grow, life starts to move a little faster. Between school, sports, friends, and the start of independence, it can feel harder and harder to slow down and just be together. That’s what makes family photos with your teen and pre-teen so special — they’re a reminder to pause, reconnect, and capture this fleeting stage before it slips by.
I love watching the way parents and older kids interact during sessions — the teasing, the laughter, the soft moments in between. Teens might start out a little shy or hesitant, but by the end, they’re usually laughing, joking, and fully themselves. And those are the photos that end up meaning the most.
So if you’ve been thinking your kids are “too old” for family photos — they’re not. In fact, now is the perfect time. Because one day soon, they’ll be all grown up, and you’ll be so glad to have these memories of who they were right now — and who you were together.
Let’s slow down, laugh a little, and capture this incredible season of your family’s story.
